Both Kealb and the Aztecs have made some major signings with one day left of the transfer window!
After Riponia's Premier League was disbanded earlier in the year to coïncide with the death of the nation, many of the teams' ex-players are still free agents. Kealb and the Aztecs have taken full advantage of this (as the other League 1 clubs are expected to tomorrow) and brought-in some quite big names in Micrasian football.
In for Kealb are Riponian-come-Nova Englishman left-back Matthew Ragnus (23) and Nova English Korea's ex-Taesongean striker Seol Tae-Ki (24). They have signed for free, being free agents, but were originally from Marton-le-Moor Wanderers and Port Rackham Rangers, respectively. Ragnus has taken the 23 shirt, as that is his age, and Seol will occupy number 20.
The Aztecs have made a few shock coups with their new signings. They have brought-in Toketi's 2007 World Cup runner-up goalkeeper Turk ronAjain (37), another World Cup runner-up in Tellia's midfielder; François Germaine (32), Ashkenatza's ex-Matbaic forward Quryaqos Kheldumeh (28) and a free agent who hadn't come from a Riponian club; Kaválos' left-back Leonzio Pandolfi (28). The ex-Riponian Premier League stars previously played for Port Rackham Rangers, Tramerton and Ripon Magnets, and will wear numbers 25, 21 and 16, respectively, with Pandolfi taking number 24. These well-known names should hopefully improve the Aztecs' poor league position from last year.
There have been rumours that King Craitman, of course chairman of all League 1 clubs, will sign as many ex-Riponian Premier League players as possible for his teams in time for the new season, regardless of the separate teams' managers' oppinions, in order to fill-up empty squad places without pushing young Craitish players into a full-time career too early.
More to follow, we're sure...
